Kevin John Dennis, age 31, beloved husband and best friend of Laura, nee Tully; best Daddy of Jack (age 3 1/2) and Quinn (age 1 1/2); loving son of George and Hannah; dear brother of Colleen (Tom) Galateo and Mike (Jamie); uncle of Nora and Clare; son-in-law of Edward and Carol Tully; brother-in-law of Dan Tully; dear grandson, nephew, cousin, friend and neighbor. Member of Fr. Perez Council #1444, Knights of Columbus; founding member of Greenwood Rovers.

Kev Dennis, was 31 years old when he passed away. He left behind a beautiful wife Laura and two adorable children, Jack and Quinn. The August 28, 2010 Benefit is all about the kids education!
Kevin John Dennis was born on September 4, 1977, the oldest son of Hannah and George Dennis. Kevin was the proud big brother of sister Colleen and brother Mike. He was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, a fact he always took pride in, before settling his family in Chicago's Edison Park neighborhood Kevin attended grade school at Queen of Martyrs where he made friends for life. From there, he attended high school at Brother Rice. When he wasn’t at school or spending time with friends, Kevin could be found working at Pop’s Beef where we was known to make an Italian beef sandwich the “size of an NFL football.” Kevin was one of the founding members of the Greenwood Rovers, which were formally established as a social athletic club in 1996, though many members have been friends since early childhood. Over the years, the Rovers organized many memorable trips to college campuses, concerts and cottages, and they spent countless Sunday mornings playing softball. Kevin attended Marquette University and made more lifelong friends along the way. He graduated in 2000 with a degree in civil engineering. A year earlier, during the summer of 1999, Kevin met his future wife, Laura Tully, while visiting some of his best friends at St. Norbert College. Their love grew from there, and on December 27, 2003, Kevin and Laura were married surrounded by family and friends. The proudest moments of Kevin’s life were the birth of his two sons, Jack on September 20, 2005 and Quinn on December 20, 2007. Kevin was a devoted husband and father, and he loved to spend his time teaching his sons about the other loves of his life – fishing, music and construction. Kevin also became an avid home brewer in the last years of his life, and took great pride in sharing his brew and showing off his culinary talents for family and friends. Kevin John Dennis died on August 8, 2009 as a result of an undetectable heart condition. He was just 31 years old.
